The Bristol performance at The Cube Cinema brought the Metropolis tour into a dedicated cinema environment, with Sonic Sound delivering a full live sound hire and engineering service.
The standard sound hire kit was deployed, including a digital sound desk, full instrument mic package, wireless microphones, wireless IEMs, stage boxes, DI boxes, microphone stands, and professional cabling integrated carefully with the cinema’s existing infrastructure.
Cinema spaces require precise control over dynamics and frequency balance. The system was tuned to maintain impact during musical peaks while preserving detail during quieter passages of the film.
Wireless IEMs were crucial in this environment, keeping stage volume controlled and preventing spill into the audience area. All wireless systems were battery‑checked and managed for the duration of the event.
As with the rest of the tour, I provided simple ambient lighting at no extra charge, helping define the performance area within the cinema without detracting from the screen.
This show demonstrated how Sonic Sound bridges the gap between live music production and cinema presentation.
