The Bridport Arts Centre date of the Metropolis tour marked a return visit to Bridport with this show, following an earlier performance covered by Sonic Sound in 2024, when Metropolis was brought to the area with a live soundtrack at this beautiful local venue. This made it particularly rewarding to support the production again.

For this performance, Sonic Sound supplied and operated a compact but fully professional touring sound solution, tailored to the requirements of a live film soundtrack performance.

We provided the standard sound hire kit, delivering everything needed for a self‑contained production. This included a digital sound desk, instrument microphones, wireless microphones, wireless in‑ear monitoring (IEM) systems, stage boxes, DI boxes, microphone stands, and all associated signal and mains cabling.

Arts centres often demand a careful balance between volume and clarity, particularly for film‑based performances where music must enhance, rather than dominate, the visuals. The mix was tailored to ensure the live soundtrack complemented the on‑screen action without overpowering the cinematic experience.

Wireless monitoring allowed the band to maintain tight timing cues throughout the performance, which is essential when playing to picture. All radio systems were fully battery‑managed to eliminate any risk of drop‑outs during the show.

This return visit to Bridport reinforced Sonic Sound’s ability to adapt a consistent touring setup to different venues and acoustics, while continuing to support repeat performances of the same production with the same high technical standards.
